In the current economic state of this country, our customers are now more than ever looking for ways to connect with their clients and associates while reducing overhead costs. This is now possible with high definition teleconferencing through LifeSize.

We’ve received a lot of questions about this new product line, so we’ve created this LifeSize FAQ to help everyone who is looking to get in to a new high definition teleconferencing system.
What is “telepresence”?

Put simply, telepresence is being present at a distance. High definition video conferencing allows you be present instantly with clients and associates around the globe. Sharing content through your laptop or PC and sharing smiles through your camera are all part of being “telepresent”. Best of all, there are no flights, hotels, rental cars, or any of the extra cost associated with traveling.

The problem with most teleconferencing systems is the great deal of time, planning and expense that goes in to setting up your conferencing room. LifeSize conferencing equipment is a much easier system to install and implement, and is available at a much more affordable price than comparable HD systems.

How do I know what to get? What are my options?

You will first need to decide how you would like to set up your teleconferencing room and consider how many people you would like connect with at one time. Here are your options:

LifeSize Express with Focus – This is the world’s most affordable telepresence system. The system will come with everything you need to connect your high definition display and will allow you to make “point to point” calls with all other LifeSize systems. The included Focus camera does not have pan, tilt, and zoom functions so this option is best suited for a single user setting such as an executive office.
LifeSize Express with PTZ Camera – This option has all the same features as the Express with Focus and comes standard with a pan, tilt, zoom HD camera. This is great for smaller, multi-use conference rooms for a small team of people.

LifeSize Team MP – Get up to 4 users on screen at once with the Team MP model. The LifeSize Team MP can connect to any LifeSize model, so only one Team MP is necessary to connect with 3 other Express models! All in HD! No other conferencing system in the world can do that for less.

LifeSize Room – The LifeSize Room has all the features and benefits of the Team MP and will allow you connect an additional HD display and camera to conference room. This is ideal for larger conference rooms.

What other equipment will I need?

Will LifeSize equipment work with other manufacturer’s equipment?

Yes! LifeSize uses standards that are compatible with other major manufacturer’s conferencing equipment.
